1.) Scripture: We believe that the Bible,
Old and New Testaments, is the
infallible, inerrant Word of God in the original manuscripts and is our standard of faith and practice.
2.) God: We believe in one God, eternally
existing in three persons, Father,
Son and Holy Spirit, who exists and is manifest to man from nature, man, the Bible and through His Son, Jesus
Christ.
3.) Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus
Christ is fully God and fully man,
born of a virgin. He is the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. He was
crucified, buried, and rose again. He is the first fruits of His resurrection, and we will be like Him in
our resurrection. He is with the
Father presently, making intercession for His children. He lives in Christians and
is coming again. He will reign
on earth with His saints in future times.
4.) The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy
Spirit is wholly God and is a divine person. He lives in regenerated persons who
have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ by
faith, and guides them in all truth.
He places each believer into the body of Christ, the church, and equips them for ministry with gifts of the
Spirit. Sign gifts were given
in apostolic times and are no longer given as we have the completed revelation of God in Holy Scripture.
5.) Man: We believe man was created in the
image of God to bring Him glory.
Man has a material and immaterial part. When God created man, He gave him the ability to obey and disobey God. When Adam chose to disobey God, man fell and
took on a sin nature to be passed on
to future generations.
6.) Sin: We believe that sin is anything
that does not conform to the glory of
God. The result of sin is death, and man is separated from God. There is the sin nature of man, which is
passed to man from Adam, and personal
sin which man commits daily against a Holy God, and can be forgiven when confessed and
forsaken.
7.) Salvation: We believe God provided the
perfect sacrifice, once and for all,
for our sin through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. His sacrifice
satisfied God's just nature for the penalty due Him for sin against a holy and loving Father. Those who are
saved through faith cannot lose their salvation.
8.) The Church: We believe the church is
made up of "born again"
believers of the Lord Jesus Christ. The church is both universal, those who become Christians from Pentecost until the
rapture, and the local church.
The local church is an organized, group of believers in a town or city for the
purpose of grounding and maturing its
members in the Word of God, for observing the ordinances of the church, which are baptism and the Lord's
Supper, and to carry out the great commission, to bring glory to God.
9.) The Blessed Hope: We believe in a
future destination and judgment for all believers and unbelievers, living and dead.
We believe in a premillennial
return of Christ and a pretribulational rapture of saints and a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth.
Heaven and hell are real.
