The entire message of the Bible can be reduced to
one thing: Jesus Christ
died for sinful men and women.
He died for a lost world.1 The Bible says that all have sinned.2
Sin passed to all men at the fall of Adam
and mankind cannot recover.3 The consequence for sin is eternal
damnation in Hell. This is spiritual death, or second death as it is sometimes called.
Jesus Christ offered Himself in order to die in our place and to pay a debt
that none of us can ever pay.4 Christ is the only way anyone can be
brought back into fellowship with God.5 Once you see your sinful state, if you
believe that Jesus, God's only Son died on the cross of Calvary to save you
from your sin, and ask Him to forgive your sin, He will save you for all
eternity. His Word, the Bible, promises that He will.6
It doesn't matter whether you are less
sinful than someone else; we're all sinners and each
man's sin condemns him. Nor will good works substitute for your sin.
The
sin debt must be paid and only the blood of the Lord Jesus can atone for
sin. Each individual needs to personally accept the gift of eternal life
from a gracious and merciful Heavenly Father. Only He can save you, but
you
need to personally ask the Lord Jesus to save you, and accept Him into your
heart. Only then can you have eternal life. Accept Jesus Christ as
your Savior now. Pray this simple prayer, just between you and Him, with
honesty
and sincerity.
"Dear God, I know I'm a sinner. Forgive my sins and come into my
heart and
save me. I believe I am a sinner in need of salvation and that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross of Calvary to pay
for my sin. The best I know how, I'm receiving Christ as my Savior, right
now. Amen."
Life here on earth is but for a moment. After that, eternity awaits us
all.
The only way to be prepared for it is to know the Lord Jesus as Savior. It
truly is the most important decision you can ever make. You can turn to
the
Lord, not because you deserve His mercy, but because He loves you and offers
His mercy to you. He loves you personally, in a way you will never
understand.
Don't try to, just accept it.
If you've trusted the Lord as your Savior, you
have eternal life. Now that you have eternal life, your spiritual life has
begun and you need to grow spiritually. This growth comes from regular
prayer, reading God's word, the Bible, and fellowshipping with other
Christians at a Gospel preaching church. We've prepared something that
will
help you grow. It's a PDF document you can download free from this
Website.
"Growing in the Lord" is available on the "Publications"
section of this
Website. Simply hit "Publications" then "Growing in the
Lord." It will
guide you through a few basic Bible lessons and help you begin to study the
Bible on your own. We are also available to help you with questions you
may
have and to help you find a Gospel preaching church. Please feel free to
